"Friends of True's - Swirly Spring" BLOG HOP

Welcome to the "Friends of True's - Swirly Spring" BLOG HOP! If you are here from Leah Lucescu's blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened onto mine you will want to head back to True's blog  where it all starts.

There will be a prize package donated by Inky Antics that includes True's entire, newly released, Swirly Spring stamp line.

I have used the Swirly Sunshine & Flowers Clear Set for my card.  The image is stamped with Tsukineko Versafine - Onyx Black and coloured using Memento Markers and an Aqua Pen.

It has been cut out using the Spellbinders Paper Arts Labels Twenty-Nine Nestabilities and the Grand Calibur and layered into the A2 Floral Ribbon Threader  Spellbinders™ Nestabilities®.  The coordinating patterned paper is Sunny Day on White, also designed by Trudy - certainly makes card making easy!

and added some Want2Scrap bling.

For my card I have used

Swirly Sunshine and Flowers clear set

Here is a list of all of the links in case you get lost along the way.

Feminine Fleur de Lis

Card Design Class is always fun, we try different styles and techniques.

For the next Class we are keeping it simple and experimenting with Want2Scrap bling, it is amazing how adding something different can change the look - I love the way the Fleur de Lis now has a feminine look.  It is adhered to the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine Nestabilities and cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

The sentiment is precut from my stash and popped up on foam tape.

I usually photograph in The Studio but decided to try outside today as the weather is  lovely - I got set up on a chair and turned my back for one minute - only to find that one of the dogs had left me a gift! LOL!  Thankfully next to my project and not on it!

I have used the ODBD Mother Theresa stamp set, the image is coloured using Stampin' Up Chalks/Pastels, with some shimmer added to the water - you can just see it in the photo above.  It has then been popped up with foam tape onto the Spellbinders Vintage Lace Motifs Shapeabilities®

A Seam Binding bow has been added, layered into the Spellbinders Vintage Lace Accents  Shapeabilities® and embellished with a Mulberry Rose and stick pins.

Wants2Scrap Beautiful Bling Borders - Fancy Waves has been added to the Vintage Lace Accent border and also around the Vintage Lace Motif.

Crafty Friends - Best Foot Forward

I am excited because it is my turn to host the Crafty Friends Challenge and I have made us very easy for you - this fortnight the challenge is to use flowers - yes flowers, how easy is that!

You can use them on patterned paper, by adding them to your cards, stamp them, be inspired by flowers or make your own - how much fun is that?

I have created my own flower for this divine shoe, the shoe template is designed by my dear friend and amazing artist Laura Kirste Campbell.  My flower is created using Spellbinders Rose Creations Shapeabilities - I think I have nearly worn this Die out - LOL!  I always seem to be reaching for it!

Lots of embossing and inking, along with some gorgeous Art Stencils

The gorgeous edge has been created using the Spellbinders Ironworks Accents Shapeabilities, which has been sponged while still in the Die - I love this effect.  of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

and of course I had to finish with a flower on the heel - just for that extra bit of pizazz! LOL!

This project is for the following challenges:
Catch The BugAnything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Flowers in bloom
Hotshot Crafts - Die Cuts
Crop Stop - Pretty pearls
Creative Belli - Wedding

It's a Man Thing

I am back and on a mission - to use what is on my desk - and believe me, it is quite a challenge as things gather and seem to multiply over night - do you know that feeling?  I am sure YOU are not like that! LOL!

I have created these quick masculinbe cards using some remnants of paper from Webster's Pages, I was inspired by Nina Brackett and the way she is using her scraps so creatively, she created something similar to these cards, so I had to CASE her.

I have also used the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners along with the co-ordinating retired Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, also illustrated by Nina Brackett.

The Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

Finishing off with a little bit of black bling from Want2Scrap - it does not get much easier than this!

This card is for the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments ChallengeAny sentiment
Charisma Cardz - No flowers allowed
DRS Designs - Masculine
Just Keep on Creating - anything goes
Little Red Wagon - Father's Day card
Penny's Paper-Crafty - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Father's Day/special man

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Nina B Designs Blog Hop #3

Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. The NBD Team and has something exciting for you today. Nina challenged us to create something that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts from non-paper products on their projects.  Did you know that Spellbinders dies can cut all kinds of material?  Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts did a video showing all types of products you can cut with the dies that you can find HERE.

For my project today, I die cut both cork and felt with NinaB Designs' Licensed Dies for Spellbinders Paper Arts - Home Sweet Home  dies.

The adorable little house has been cut using the Spellbinders Home Sweet Home Die using cork and the heart using felt - both cut so easily the Spellbinders Grand Calibur Machine. These have been sponged using the Die as a Mask and then mounted onto patterned paper cut using the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities.

A Seam Binding bow and Mulberry Paper Rose

Finishing off with some divine Want2Scrap Fancy That bling - these have also been designed by NinaB Designs

I love the scene this fabulous set of Dies creates.

Here are the dies I used:

Here are the prizes to be won.

Winners will be picked randomly from 5 of the designers' blogs:

Everybody is welcome to comment and be eligible to win. The winners will be announced on  May 22 right here. Due to the number of prizes being given away on Nina's blog and the dependence on Nina's Mom to do the shipping, we have to ask that the winners email Nina through the  Contact tab on her Blog with their info within 4 days (till May 26) in order to claim the  prize. This will help with organization and avoiding confusion.  Thanks for understanding!
Finally, please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today's hop, so you don't miss the latest news and happenings:

I hope we've inspired you all today! Happy hopping!
