Be Happy

Hello friends - I hope you are all well, which these days can mean something different for us all!!  I am always grateful for your visits - if only it was in real life - the coffee (and tea) would be ready in a heart beat!

The card I am sharing today is so pretty and touching on shabby - a style I cannot resist.  I have used some Websters Pages paper I have had sitting there for some time - such pretty paper - don't you agree!?

I have used the Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics A Card Creator for both my card base and embossed layer.  The embossing folder is called Floral - newly released and so pretty - definitely going to get a workout in my Studio!  The filigree layer is from the Spellbinders Romantic Rose Nestabilities using #1 Frame (#1 being the smallest).  The butterfly and sentiment are from a Kaisercraft Kit.   Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card and the bling is from Want2Scrap.

This card is from the following challenges:
Fresh Brewed Designs - Ribbon or Twine

Today and Always

It has been a few days since I have posted - I have had a influx of magazine commissions (always exciting) and some special posts that will be happening next month - I love this time of the year for that - they may involve the word - giveaways - so keep watching this space!!

There is something to be said for simplicity...it is not always something that comes easy to me, but I am learning to appreciate it and love to challenge myself to have a try. I have to admit I have gone with the patterned paper from Websters Pages and was inspired by the adorable little butterfly on the lower right edge,  The card base has been cut using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics A and the Platinum Die Cutting & Embossing Machine.

I have stamped and coloured two butterfly's from the Penny Black Inc. Social Butterfly set, added some shimmer and Want2Scrap bling to the body and leaves, along with a beautiful bling border across the top.  As always my card is held together by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares used for dimension under the wings - just the perfect amount of height.

A sentiment from SRM Stickers is the perfect finishing touch - not too little and not too much - don't you think!?

Hello Blog friends, it is Friday evening here and we are looking forward to the weekend - especially when a couple of warmer days are predicted as Canberra is cold and only 1.5 hours from the snow!  I hope you are looking forward to your weekend too!

Today's card has been created using the Orchid Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™ - from the Create-A-Flower Collection - these flowers are so much fun to create and so realistic.

SSIC Banners

I wish I could tell you that I had made this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge weeks ago but the truth is that I thought I had and suddenly realised yesterday I had NOTHING done - arggggggh!

So I checked out this weeks challenge, hosted by our fearless leader Kris, who has chosen:

"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Use FLAGS or BANNERS in your creation
(ie. create your own flags or banners… or in your paper, image)

I quickly grabbed things that were lying around in piles on my desk (as you do!) and created flags by folding thin strips of paper in half and dove tailing the ends of them.  Each flag is attached using double sided tape and embellished using buttons and mulberry flowers, finishing off with a row of pearls.

A strip of Spellbinders Classic Edges One Edgeabilities® and Classic Decorative Insert Three Edgeabilities®  have been added along the lower edge of the card and some gorgeous vintage lace added, a butterfly and pearls (of course!).  These Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

It all came together very quickly - PHEW! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Fun with Shapes & More - must include die cut/punch
Stampin' For The Weekend - Show us Your Style
It's All About the VintageSummer & butterflies
Shelly's Images - Anything goes
Crafts and Me - anything goes
Thank you to this weeks sponsor.
Make sure you stop by the Designers Blogs are some amazing inspiration - these ladies are inspirational on so many levels!!
