You are Awesome

Hello friends, it is the weekend and we love that - don't we!!?  I was in need of some comic relief and just had to colour one of my Emerson Quillen images  - a while ago they were all the rage - personally I think they will never date, rather keep on showing up at one stage or another - let's hope so!!

I have used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A to cut all layers and the card base using the  Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. The background paper is from the Spellbinders Celebrations Prints line by Richard Garay and the patterned strip of paper from my stash.  The image has been coloured using  Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko: Memento Markers and the sentiment I believe is from Hero Arts.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this cardI have added a hand drawn boarder, for some fun - I like the effect is has on projects and have been doing more of it lately....

Enjoy Life Layout

Hello friends - today I have a layout to share with you - and yes, it is of my adorable grandson, Noah who turned one last month - time has flown by so quickly!  When he was born, I decided to create a Scrapbook of him - rather than a Baby Book and I have been working really hard behind the scenes to fill it - typically, this one has more pages than any of my others...LOL!

I have used Spellbinders 5x7 Em-bossing Folder Maze by Seth Apter of The Altered Page which has been inked and had the photo mounted on it using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  I have also used A stamp from Unity Stamp Company, Kaisercraft rubon, Washi Tape, letters from Authentique Paper, chipboard sentiment from Quick Quotes, along with bits and pieces from my stash.

This layout is linked to the following challenges:
Bizzy Bec's May Challenge - Anything Goes
Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog Anything goes with option of Layers

Spellbinders - Wonderful Mum

Hello friends - it is Mother's Day and I have a very easy card to share with you - so easy in fact I made two - to show you how versatile it is...but first I want to wish all the Mus, Mothers in Law, Step Moms and Mum Figures a wonderful MOTHER's DAY!!

I have used the Spellbinders Wonderful Mum Card Creator.  It was particularly exciting for me to be at Spellbinders in Phoenix and have Stacey pull me aside and show me this Die and the fact that it said MUM not Mom - yes, Spellbinders were thinking of those of us who have Mum's - don't you love that!

I have cut/embossed the two  copies of the Die using the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Behind the white Die-cut I have added coloured cardstock behind the words.  I have kept fairly monochromatic with this one.  The letters from the second Die-cut have been to the white card-front.  This has been layered onto a mauve card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The second card front has been done in much the same way but I have used coloured cardstock behind; added the white letters to the 'MUM' sentiment and added Want2Scrap bling.  So easy don't you agree -perfect for Mothers Day, along with any other reason you are wanting to give Mum a card - birthday, anniversary or to say I love you - are just a few possibilities.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Brown Sugar – Mother's Day
Crafty Catz - Female (Girls) Only
Creative Corner - Ladies Night
Pattie's Creations - Mother's Day or Flowers only

Purrfect Snapshot Smile

Hello friends - today's card is a little whimsical using a cat image I purchased in a set  a long time ago - I love cats and could not resist them - they will be appearing on a few cards from time to time.

I have used one of the newly released Spellbinders Die D-Lites Smile Up - so cute and perfect for any project - I can see it being used on a layout or two!

I have used the Spellbinders Donna Salazar Designs Chicken Wire Em-bossing Folder to emboss the pink background and sponged it using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento ink in London Fog.

The embossed circle is from the Spellbinders Laced with Love Blooming Collection.   Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card.
