MMSC26 Best Buds

Can you believe it is Tuesday already - if you look in the dictionary right next to the word Tuesday are the words Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!!  LOL!  Yes, that is right - this is the BIG event of the week - and you get to be part of it!!  This weeks sketch is so much fun to do and here it is:

MIDNIGHT MADNESS MASTERPIECE AWARD

Each week we are awarding a special Badge Award to one person for their outstanding sketch submission. If you would like to be considered for this award, please make sure your card link is posted to Mr. Linky by Sunday of each week. This is our way of let you know how wonderfully talented you are and how much we appreciate you sharing your craft with us. With so many amazing entries for last week, it was a hard decision, it is always so close - this weeks “MIDNIGHT MADNESS MASTERPIECE” Gold Star Award goes to.....

Enjoy your award and please display it proudly!

The "NEW" MM REMARKABLES AWARD!!

The Midnight Madness Team has created a very special award called The “Midnight Madness Remarkables” Award !! We would like to acknowledge those entries that are just exceptionally Remarkable!! During our voting each week, due to the caliber of the cards entered in our challenges, we end up with so many ties and close votes, so this Fairy logo is for those recipients to display proudly. If you would each like to take our fairy logo for your side bar, she would love to come stay with you.

I would like to take this opportunity ot thank our sponsor for this month - Michelle's Scrapbooking

and our weekly sponsor - Heather Ellis at DigiStamp Characters

I have used this adorable digi image from our sponsor Heather Ellis - I could not resist this adorable little boy with his dog - there was just something about that face!  He is coloured with chalks, as per my tutorial which you can find here. The image was then cut out and popped up on dimensionals, along with the dog.  I always like to sponge aroud the edge of an image when I cut it out, or use a black pen and run it around the cut edge, that way it gets rid of any white showing (and covers up any 'oops' moments!)

I used DP that I had been sent in a RAK from one of my Twisted Sisters, Darla Ryan...I love this DP.  The semi circle has 3 different DP's - one of them is embossed - I wanted to add lots of texture and dimension!  It is layered onto black CS.

The strips of ribbon are actually torn card with window mesh layered into the top of them - this appeals to the recycler in me, I am always looking around for unique things to use on my cards - I also love the look of the mesh - it could not be more perfect with this card...then the screw brads are added to finish if off and also help to hold it all together!

You may have seen the Midnight Madness Holiday Blog Hop Logo on  some Blogs out there - it will be coming to you all on Dec 8th. Our Holiday Blog Hop will be a week long Hop filled with surprises and of course prizes.

If you would like to help spread the word about our next hop by posting this logo on your side bar we would appreciate it. As you know, here at the Midnight Madness Blog, anything can happen. We have a “Midnight Madness Prize Patrol” that will be on the look out for our “Special Midnight Madness Holiday Blog Hop Logo” If one of our team members spots this special logo, your name will go into a special drawing. We will be looking for our MM Holiday Logo from NOW until the Holiday Blog Hop starts.

We will be awarding an appreciation gift every week to one lucky person until our Holiday Blog Hop is launched, so the search starts now…good luck!!!

That is it for me, for now, thank you for coming to visit, I love reading your comments, you are so encouraging!! You know I love it when you come and would HATE to miss you!! Thank you for all of your support and emails this week - my first as a permanent member of the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, you have blessed me!  Now...pop over the check out the sketch and I will call by to see what you have done with it!!  Have a great week - God bless you!

  5. I like the DP paper too and the little boy and his dog. Cute card with the silver brads and blue paper, a more masculine card, refreshing to see that. Thanks, Jane.

  8. I love this little boy card. I have 3 boys, and I know how much harder it is to come by a card like this for a boy. You are amazing with your chalk coloring. I really admire that. Fabulous job.
