My Gift to You

This card is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge which is based on this scripture:

"After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:11

With all this in mind it has been suggested that it would be great fun to make a card, layout, or project of your choice this week and have a gift placed somewhere on it.  It is also Lisa's birthday - so gifts it is!!  Happy Birthday to Lisa from Stampin' Sisters in Christ too!!

My card is a Penny Black image that I won along with many others from Pauline C's Blog Candy - they are just so cute and I don't get to them often enough - I am glad I used this one today - mice seem to be a theme for me lately! LOL!

I have chalked the image and popped it up on dimensionals - it is layered into some embossed CS, using the Paisley EF....no surprises when I tell you that all edges have been sponged around with distressing ink!  I ran a strip of patterned DP that has been scalloped under the embossed CS then added my sentiment which has been cut with a circle punch and popped up on dimensionals, some gorgeous flowers that I also won in a Blog Candy have been added - I love these flowers - thank you Sharon - they add so much to a card!!

Torn embossed corners have been added along with some pearls and the card is finished...I am rushing this post now as I realise that it is 6:30pm and I haven't got dinner started - oops...

This card is also for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Christmas for the Girls
I am linking it to The Pink Elephant Challenge for your favourite Colouring technique - for me that would be....yes, you guess it - chalking!!
2RedBananas is all about warmth this week - it doesn't get much warmer than 'comfort food!' - it makes you feel 'warm' all over!!

So thank you for looking and for your lovely comments - I love seeing that you have visited me!  I hope your weekend is great!  God bless you!
