Steampink

I had a lot of fun creating this card - it is for Card Design Class next week.  One of the ladies asked about Steampunk and I thought I would create something along that line...

I have tried to keep to the 'Edwardian with a modern twist' style and used  a couple of digi images that I have.  They have been coloured using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Markers.

All sponging has been done using  IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento - Desert Sand and Toffee and IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™.  The bling is from Want2Scrap© - 72 Count - Brown Rhinestones - Self Adhesive

I have used the  Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine
to cut the A2 Distressed Edges Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator, Sprightly Sprockets
Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities and Grommet Tags Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities.  The background is embossed using the Creative Cogs Spellbinders™ 3D M-Bossabilities™ folders

This card is for the following challenges:
Inklings and Yarns - Always Anything Goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty - Sentiment
LEJ Designs - Emboss It
ABC ChallengeL for Lovely Lace
Card and Scrap - Use dies
Art With No Boundaries Show Off Your Art - Always Anything Goes
Card Mania Punches and/or Diecuts
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Stamp and Create - Use at least 1 Die Cut

Easter Chick

I am back to share another Easter card with you, only a couple more to share which is just as well because tomorrow is Good Friday here in the Southern Hemisphere.

I have used another image from Magic Moonlight Free Images - they are just so adorable and certainly helped me get multiple cards created.

I have cut the image with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Three Nestibilities- don't you just love the shape of this one - it was definitely a 'must have' one for me...and if you know me at all you would know that I am going to tell you that I cut the Die using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

The sentiment is computer generated and has been cut with the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Shapeabilities and the used the Die as a mask before removing it - it is such an effective technique - I love it! The background paper is from way down deep in my scrap pile and has been embossed using one of the new Spellbinders M-bossabilities - called Flower Fun.   I love these folders, the embossing is so deep and the folders are double sided - you have to love that!

This card is for the following challenges:
My Mum's Craft shop - Easter/animals
Papercraft Star - anything goes
Paper Shelter Challenge -anything goes/ Easter
Simon Says Stamp - use your favorite tool (Embossing Folders and Spellbinders Dies)
The Perfect Sentiment -  Easter + bling
Waste Not Wednesday - always "use your forgotten stuff"

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day!  I will be back later today with a Sneak Peek of my Spellbinders post. God bless you!

Easter Greetings

I love to create but there are those moments when I feel panic set in - one of those being this week when the local store that sells my cards needed a top up of 40 cards....Now, I know that is a good thing but it also sent my stock of  'reserves' back a bit - not a great feeling....especially when they ordered 12 Easter cards on top of that!

Once my 'panic' subsided I got out my Spellbinders Die Templates, along with the Grand Calibur and was off to a good start.  Images was the next thing - so I printed off some free digi's from the Magic Moonlight Free Images Blog and I was on my way!

I cut out this image using the Spellbinders Labels Fifteen  and the Spellbinders Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine

The sentiment is computer generated - I cannot believe that I do not own one stamp with Happy Easter on it, or something along that line....I need to rectify that!  The sentiment is cut using the Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Dies

Some gorgeous crochet lace and Mulberry Paper Flowers and pearls - but you knew that didn't you! LOL!

and one very quick, vintage card is finished - it doesn't get much easier than this as the Girlz in my Card Design Class are going to find out tonight as we recreate this card along with one other....

This card is for the following challenges:
 Ruby's Rainbow - Easter
Scrapbook Sisters - Easter
Scrapalicious - Easter
rhood of Crafters - Easter
Anything Goes Challenge - Get ready For Easter
Paper and Such Design - Spring Or Easter
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter & Or Animals
Try It On Tuesday - Easter Theme

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
