Live, Laugh, Love

Hello Blog Friends - I know it has been a few days since my last post, things have been unbelievably busy for me since returning from the Spellbinders Retreat in Phoenix AZ....a lot of creative work has needed to be done - and I am not complaining about that, but there have been moments when time has definitely not been my friend!

Today I am sharing a card created using some of the gorgeous Anna Griffin Inc-  Lots of Layers papers and card stock, along with the gorgeous precut embellishments - I have to add, they could easily become an addiction! LOL!

I have also used the Grand Calibur Die Cutting & Embossing Machine and the Lattice Rectangles Spellbinders® Decorative Elements Nestabilities - what a beautiful background it makes for the sentiment that has been popped up using Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares.  I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L  E-Z Dots Permanent  Adhesive Runner on this card.  The gorgeous lace is some I purchased from Joann's while in Phoenix.

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Guest Designer

I am excited to the September Guest Designer at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.

This week Broni is our host, and she has asked us to create a  mini card/project (no larger then 4x3)

I have used the Flourishes Sweet Peas set - an all time favourite of mine.  The image is coloured using SU Chalks/ Pastels and cut out using the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities® .  I have sponged around the inside of the Die before removing the image - love this form of masking.  This has been layered into the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles Nestabilities.  My Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Finishing off with Seam Binding Bow, a Mulberry Rose and some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling.

This card is for the following challenges:

NinaB Designs - Exciting News

It is a very exciting day for me - finally I get to share something that I have had to keep quiet for what seems like an eternity - I am both thrilled and honoured to be part of the NinaB Designs Dream Team.

and what a Team it is, these ladies are amazingly talented, please make sure you pop over and visit each member of the 'Dream Team', but put on your seat belt - you are in for quite a ride!

Lea Lawson * Linda Lucas  (that's me) * Mona Pendleton *

It is such a pleasure to be working with Nina, who I originally met on the Layers of Color Design Team.  I love her work and it is exciting to have the pleasure of working with Nina's creations

I have used the Butterfly Kisses set illustrated by NinaB Designs,  for The Craft's Meow

This set is adorable, inspired by Nina's girls.  It reminds me of my childhood - who doesn't love blowing Dandelion Flowers, or 'fairies' as we used to call them.  I have used the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles Die as a frame for this card, cutting it with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur

The image has been stamped twice with Tsukineko Versafine Sepia Ink, cutting out the wings of the second image, colouring them with Scattered Straw Distressing Ink and popping them up with foam tape.  I have added some bling from Want2Scrap - and I have to say I am loving this stuff - another addiction coming on.....

The butterfly is also from the Butterfly Kisses set and has been stamped twice, cut out and popped up on a Seam Binding bow, on layers of  Seam Binding and lace.

Buttons, Mulberry Roses and pearls finish this card off.....

I am sure you are a great fan of Nina's too - this lady is so gifted, designing stamps for a number of companies, a newly Licensed Designer for Spellbinders and also designs for Want2Scrap - all the things we LOVE!!

Thank you for stopping by today to share my exciting news, I hope you are inspired and join in this wonderful journey we are just beginning.  To add to my excitement, I have another two BIG announcements to share with you over the next two weeks - but all in good time! LOL!
God bless you

SSIC Nostalgic For You

It is Sunday and who doesn't love Sunday!!  With it comes the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - I love this challenge, it is inspiring on so many levels!!  This week our challenge is brought to us by Traci - who has chosen the following scripture:

"Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." James 1:2-3

Traci's challenge is to create a card with variegated colors. This can mean a monochromatic card with various shades of one color, or a card that shows variegated as in a variety of colors, or a pop of bright colors in unison as in a bouquet of flowers. Be creative!!

For my card I decided on using one main colour and a POP of brown - and not surprises that it is nostalgic - I did mention I am on a run of these...

I have used a free digital image from The Graphics Fairy, the sentiment is from Layers of Color.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle, Labels Eight and the Ribbon Banners Die.

Lace, Hand Dyed Seam Binding and a Mulberry Flower are added along the lower portion of the card

to finish off a card with lots of dimension but not too much, that it is hard to post - you have to LOVE that!

This card is for the following challenges:
2 Sisters - Anything goes
Allsorts - Free and Easy February
Dies to Die for - Anything goes
Di's Digis Designs - Lace and Pearls
Just Some Lines - Girly Girls
Little Claire's  - Romance
Moving Along With The Times - Lots of layers (at least 2)

Today I am showing you the Silk Moth cling art stamp - isn't it divine!

The image has been coloured with SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen, cut out and popped up onto and embossed Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, that has been embossed with the SU Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, this has been layered on to the Spellbinders  Lattice Rectangles - all dies are cut with my Grand Calibur

This Silk Moth just had to have bling - it co-ordinates with the Fleur Heart art stamp set, and I just love that one - so it goes without saying that I was bound to LOVE this stamp!
