Hello Blog friends - I am sorry to have slowed things down on my Blog - I have been working on a lot of different projects and time has just flown by.

 

I am sharing this cute baby card and just have give my apologies for the terrible lighting in this photo - let's just blame it on an overcast day and leave it at that!

The image is layered onto the Standard Circles LG Spellbinders® Nestabilities® and the Labels Sixteen Nestabilities®  and have been cut using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine

The image is coloured using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Markers and an Aqua Pen.

The pearls are from Want2Scrap©.   A Seam Binding bow and a button add the finishing touches to this whimsical card.  I have used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® - E-Z Tape Runner to adhere all of my papers.

SSIC Love in Action

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us nb the lovely Helen this week.  Helen has chosen a scripture from the book of John. 

 "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other, let us show the truth by our actions" 1 John 3:18 NLT

Helen has challenged us to 1) image showing action OR 2) an image only on the front of your card (no sentiment on the front) OR 3) action card (make it move)

My image is from this weeks sponsor The Paper Shelter and has been coloured using Chalks/Pastels.  It has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and layered into a Parisian Motifs Die using foam tape.

This has been layered into the Spellbinders Leafy Squares Nestabilities and has Mulberry Roses and Want2Scrap bling added.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

Seam binding and a butterfly has been added and finishing off with a swirl from Want2Scrap.

I love the colours, they remind me of one of my favourite papers - McKenna by KandCompany -  made my card for this weeks challenge an easy choice!

I have used an image by NinaB Designs for The Craft's Meow, along with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and Floral Oval. 

The lacy border has been created using the Spellbinders Classic Edges One along with the Classic Decorative Inserts Two Edgeabilities.  All Dies have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur®

Layered Flight

I have some cards I created some time ago and have never blogged - this is one of them, using the retired Layers of Color Embroidered Butterfly cling art stamp

Along with Spellbinders Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities, Ironworks Motifs Shapeabilities and Standard Circle LG Nestabilities - all of these Dies have been but using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur®

The lace is from my local Thrift Shop - thanks to some good shopping by my DH and the paper from Stampin' Up!

Lots of dimension shows off the butterfly beautifully.

  The butterfly is coloured using Tsukineko Versafine in Spanish Moss and a dauber.

Thoughts of God

It is a windy day here, so I am avoiding out in the garden...instead I am showing you a card with flowers - that counts - doesn't it!? LOL!  You have to give me points for trying!

I have used a sentiment for my focal point, it is from a retired Layers of Color art stamp set, called Dotted Dahlia, illustrated by NinaB Designs.

The sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circle Nestibilities, that I have framed with the  Spellbinders Holly Accents Die, I cut the largest Motif in half the placed it each side of the Circle....giving an lovely filigree frame.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut my Dies.

Mulberry Paper roses have also been added.

Buttons - I am loving using them lately....

Thanks so much

I have been having a lot of fun creating lately, I have the luxury of being able to create everyday but seem to go into runs of being really productive.

Today I have something simple to show you, the simpler cards sell well at the two shops that sell my cards, which is great as it makes it easier to keep up the supply - this last month I sold 35 to one shop, 24 on facebook and over a dozen to the other shop - so my supplies were getting low.

This gorgeous image illustrated by NinaB Designs for Layers of Color Art Stamps was already stamped,  so I cut it out using the Spellbinders Standard Circle LG and layered it onto a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif Die that has been sponged with Victorian Velvet Distressing Ink before being taken out of the Die - I love this Masking Technique!

The image has been coloured using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

A sentiment added from the retired Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, illustrated by NinaB Designs. This coordinates perfectly with the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Die.  All Dies have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Finishing off with a lace bow and a white heart button from my stash.

Lots of dimension without too many layers, I was very self controlled in that department! LOL!

LOC All Lit Up

How inspiring is the Layers of Color Tea Party Blog Hop - it was wonderful having so many of you join us for it - if you have not HOPPED along yet, you can still do so by clicking here.  As any tea drinker knows, a good cup of tea just 'hits the spot' and the benefits are endless....as is the inspiration from the Design Team.

I have been playing with the newly released Beautiful Lace clear art stamp set - how can I resist, there are so many divine images, this lamp and doily are among them!

The circles have been cut using the Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and popped up on foam tape with a little bit of colour and some pears added.  All dies have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - but you know I was going to say that - didn't you!

along with a Seam Binding bow and a large brad.  Seam Binding is one of my favourite embellishments, I love the stuff - crinkled, smooth, plain or dyed - bring it on! LOL!

LOC Birthday Banner

It is Monday morning here and I have taken a break from Christmas cards to show you how the new Sentiment Banners art stamp set from Layers of Color can be used for more than Christmas cards

infact it is full of sentiments for most occasions, along with the gorgeous Banner frame that coordinates with the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Nestibilitie

The image is from Gifts of Love art stamp set and has been cut using the Standard Circles LG and the Floral Doily Motifs using the Grand Calibur- it cuts so crisp and clean and embosses deeply - perfect!

I love how perfectly the frame fits inside the Ribbon Banners Nestibilitie - the Sentimental Banners art stamp set has been illustrated for Layers of Color by Nina Brackett.  I have finished off with a Seam Binding Bow and a large pearl button.

LOC Nostalgic Cherub

I am popping quickly to share a card I have created using the Layers of Color Angelic art stamp set.

I have stamped the image with Tsukineko Versafine Ink

The image has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circles Lg Nestibilitie and popped up onto black cardstock cut one size bigger. The Frame is the Lattice Rectangle, all Dies have been cut with the Grand Calibur

and coloured is using SU Chalks/Pastels using a Blender Pen

 and added some 3D Kindy Glitz on the wings
