Shabby Love Note

I have been having some fun creating projects that I cannot show you yet - but it is getting closer...and I am getting more excited!

In the meantime, I have been making time to play with some sets that have not seen ink yet *head hung in shame!* LOL!  This set is illustrated by my dear friend Nina Brackett for The Craft's Meow, called 'Sent With Love.'

I have stamped the image, cut it out and adhered it to a Die from the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents Die.  This has been inked while still in the Die to act as a mask and then popped up onto some Prima DP with foam tape.

The gorgeous border is from the Spellbinders Ironwork Accents Die - I love this border, it is so filigree and detailed, a pretty border on any card.  All of my Dies have been but using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur!

A sentiment from the Sent With Love set is added and some handmade lace, from my dear friend Maxine is highlighted with the addition of pretty pink pearls.

I have cut around the top of the card to match the shape of the Prima Paper, but left the base to enable it to stand firmly.

This card is for the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Smudgy Antics - Anything Goes
Amusing Challenges - Die Cuts

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Boundless

It is something quick and easy today - some days are like that! LOL!

I have used an image from Stamp It, that I have had for a long time,

Over stamping with a sentiment that I love and have not used very much - another reason why sorting out is a good thing!

Adding a border from the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents Die, this Die has been cut with the Spllbinders Grand Calibur - I would be lost without my Dies and Grand Calibur - what did I do without them - well actually I remember drawing around a Baked Bean can and cutting it out by hand....How things have changed! LOL!

Some tearing and sponging, light layering and of course ...pearls....the card is complete!!

This card is for the following challenges:
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Squigglefly - Spring is in the Air
Nettie G's Digital Gems - Anything Goes

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Shabby Just for You

Who doesn't love roses - I know I do, I love the way they look and the perfume that some of them have is divine - a fragrance that just cannot be captured in a bottle!

This gorgeous image is another one from 'The Graphics Fairy' - they have some gorgeous fee images

It has been mounted onto embossed Card stock using Spellbinders Labels Eight Die, the filigree on either side is from the Ironworks Motif Die, as this is a circle, I have cut down each edge and slipped it under the Labels Eight Die, creating a filigree frame.  I cut all Dies with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The sentiment is from Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, illustrated by Nina Brackett for Layers of Color.

Lace, flowers and buttons topped with pearls have been layered onto a border from the Spellbinders Floral Accent Die.

The DP is from Stampin' UP! and has been debossed with the SU Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Ann's - Bold & Bright
Fairy Tale - Spring
Polkadoodle - Summer Fever
Poodles Parlour -  Mothers' Day / Female Card
Stamp Man - Colours of Spring / Easter
Charisma Cardz - Love is in the air

Moving Along With The Times - Lots of layers
Paper Play - For a Mother or other female relative
Shelly's Images - Make it a triple (use 3 of something)
Crafts and Me - shades of spring
Ruby's Rainbow - Vintage

It is Saturday afternoon here and I am enjoying being at the Craft Table, we have spent the morning getting the house back altogether after the Pest Man came and did some 'terminating'....so all curtains have been washed, floors vacuumed blah blah blah....LOL!

LOC FAF Gloria in Excelsis Deo

Christmas brings with it the traditional Hymns and Christmas Carols - there is none more traditional than the wonderful Hymn written by Johann Sebastian Bach - Gloria in Excelsis Deo, otherwise known as the Angelic Hymn or The Doxology.  My inspiration for Faith Art Friday at Layers of Color was this majestic Hymn.

Angels we have on heard high
Sweetly singing ore the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains

Gloria in excelsis Deo
Gloria in excelsis Deo

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ whose birth the angels sing
Come adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord the Newborn King

Gloria in excelsis Deo

Gloria in excelsis Deo

See him in a manger laid
Whom the choirs of angels praise
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid
While our hearts in love we raise

Gloria in excelsis Deo
Gloria, in excelsis Deo
Gloria in excelsis Deo

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:14

Amen and amen!

LOC Ornate Bird

I have been sitting here wondering what to show you as I have 24 posts in draft (as you do! LOL) - and then I realised I have not shown you one of my favourite projects

I created this sometime ago...in reality it was probably March - my friend Deb gave me some adorable glass bottles for my birthday and I was inspired to alter them

The border is created using the Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif Die using some gold DP I had stored away, after cutting it and embossing with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur, I sponged it lightly with Tsukineko StazOn - to give it that tarnished look - hard to believe it is paper isn't it - BTW - I have since discovered the Spellbinders Premium Craft Foils

A vintage button with the shank removed has been glued to the cork

The Medallion is part of an amazing RAK from my dear friend Gunn - I have saved this flower for months - I believe it may be a Tim Holtz embellishment.

and one of the birds from the Layers of Color Backyard Birds clear art stamp set has been stamped with Tsukineko Versafine Onyx Back Ink and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils, using Odourless Mineral Spirits and a clear glass small 'dome' has been added over it.

I have two more bottles to alter and will be back to share them when they are done!

You can see more of my projects in my Layers of Color Gallery, while you are there make sure Make sure you check out the other Design Team galleries there is so much inspiration waiting to be discovered, we are thrilled that Layers of Color is a Spellbinders Preferred Product Partner.

SSIC LOC Because of You

Stampin Sisters in Christ always comes around so quickly and that is a good thing!  I always love to read the inspiration that is shared from the Word of God.  This weeks devotional is from Rebekka who has chosen the scripture:

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him
Job 13:15

Rebekka has challenged us to make a card of praise, using music, stamp, or design paper or just the word praise
For this challenge I have created a tag usinga sentiment from the new Layers of Color Sweet Silhouettes clear art stamp.

I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut out the sentiment using the Labels Eighteen Nestibilitie, using the Die as a mask.

The flower has been created using some Stampin' Up DP (this is from my scraps pile) and circle punches, the leaves from the Spellbinders Foliage Die

The divine padlock is the Spellbinders Timeless Heritage Die along with the Floral Doily Accents Border and the music is from and old Hymnal sheet, the DP is recycled backing from a Prima Flower packet - too good to waste!

This card is for the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts - Be Thankful
Fabulous Friday - die cuts
Our Craft Lounge - thankful
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Thank you OR Thanksgiving
Do You Stack Up? - Inspiration Picture* Splash of Blue
