Spellbinders Inspirational Bookmark

Hello friends, I am so glad you have dropped in. Happy Saturday to those in the Southern Hemisphere - and to everyone else - hang on - the weekend is nearly here!   Today I am sharing a quick and easy book mark with you - it is always lovely to add something extra in a card and this bookmark is definitely in that category and very easy to mass produce but still have each one unique!

I am using the Spellbinders Sing unto God Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink. I sponged the bookmark towards the centre using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky and a sponge dauber.  This has been lightly spritzed with water and allowed to dry.

The sentiment has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  The little bird has been stamped to the right of the sentiment and the main image below it.  The adorable birds have been coloured using Chameleon Pens and a White Gen Pen used for details.

The bookmark is trimmed to approx 14cm x 5cm.  I have hand drawn around the edge using a Chameleon Pen, then randomly and lightly, spritzed with light blue and white paint,  The Bookmark has been layered onto slightly larger light blue card stock - it is as easy as that!

Faith Art - As For Me and my House

Hello friends - I hope you have all had a relaxing weekend - well, at least managed to get an hour or twenty of relaxing and unwinding at some stage.  Monday always comes around so quickly - too quickly really.

I have created a very quick and easy card, using one of the Spellbinders Bible Journaling stamps by Joanne Fink. Joanne loves to draw, letter and write inspiring sayings and this is evident in her Bible Journaling stamps.  The tag line for the Zenspirations® brand is ‘Live by inspiring others to fly’… and that’s exactly what she does.  The stamps are not only perfect for Bible Journaling, but also bookmarks, tags and cards - really there is no limit.

I had a little 'revisit' with the Bible Journaling stamps from Spellbinders - you can see my original post and tutorial HERE I am so impressed how perfect these stamps are for creating inspirational/motivational cards as well - there never seems to be enough stamps for faith based projects!

I have stamped the Birdhouse Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink using Imagine Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it using Chameleon Pens.  The sentiment has been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon ink in Electric Yellow and the card front has been randomly stamped using Seth Apter Rain Drops Stamps.  This has been layered onto a pre-cut card base. I have finished off by adding two strips of Washi Tape.

This card is for the following challenges

Scrappers Delights - Anything Goes

It has been popped it up onto the Spellbinders Nestabilities Elegant Ovals Etched Dies #4 using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The butterfly from Indigo Blue has been stamped using Imagine ink in Tuxedo Black and also coloured using Chameleon PensIt has been cut out by hand, using scissors and popped up onto the lower portion of the layered image also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Next the layered image has been layered onto a pre-cut card base and card front.  A flower and bling added to the butterfly.

ODBD Fear Not - Sympathy Card

Today I am sharing a card that is very personal to me - recently the world lost a wonderful man, gone too soon and leaving a beautiful wife and family behind, This man and his family hold a very special place in our lives on so many levels.  This card is for his wife and family.

I have used one of the Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection sentiments and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko: Memento in Tuxedo Black. The message is one I have on my hearts for them - it is not the usual Sympathy sentiment but it is Scripture and so comforting - my prayer is that it will encourage them and they will feel the love we are sending to them.

The Crown and Wreath have been created using the Royal Medallions Spellbinders® “A Gilded Life” studio by Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso.  The dies have been cut using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Silver from the Foil Pack One .

Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and Crafty Foam Tape have been used on this card.  Some of the fabulous Want2Scrap Bling

Layers of Color Revisited...

I have a box of stamps that I keep safely tucked away and love to revisit from time to time.  They are my Layers of Color retired stamps, although the company is no longer, it was the most amazing time for me and I love the stamps designed by Artist and Designer Laura Kirste Campbell.

The sentiment is computer generated and the image stamped using Imagine Crafts®/ Tsukineko® Memento Dye Ink in Rich Cocoa and the edges also sponged with Rich Cocoa and a Sponge Dauber

The metal filigree corners are favourites of mine and always add such a vintage touch.  The Mulberry Roses are from Want2Scrap and the tattered lace handmade by my dear friend Maxine

I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner on this card.

Filigree Cross

It was 'Love at First Sight' for me when I saw the Spellbinders Crosses Two  Shapeabilities

so much detail and gorgeous filigree - it was definitely 'calling my name,' especially when I am creating Easter cards at the moment.

I have layered it onto the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestibilities - can you tell I am loving this new Die too - the paper piercing around the oval is such a gorgeous touch.

The sentiment is computer generated and has been cut using the Fancy Tags Shapeabilities.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine - it certainly makes it easier because you can cut so many Dies at once!  The patterned paper has been embossed using the 'B' sandwich from the Enchanted M-bossabilities Embossing Folder

One again another quick card, but not lacking any details, thanks to my lovely Spellbinders Die Templates - what did I ever do without them? LOL!

LOC FAF The Love of God

It is always an honour to be hosting Layers of Color Faith Art Friday.
This wonderful passage in the book of Romans speak to us so clearly of the love of God

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
 Rom 8:28-39

It is so easy to lose perspective and lose our understand of the reality and simplicity of the Love of God.  I pray that each one of us will allow this scripture to speak to our spirits and remind us of God's unfailing and unfathomable LOVE....it has no limits or bounds - it never ceases and knows no end!

"Amazing Love how can it be - that you my King would die for me..."
Chris Tomlin
