SSIC Falling for you

With fall arriving in the Northern Hemisphere, we have so much to be inspired by.  This week's hostess for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is one of our founding members and leader Kris, who has chosen this week's scripture:

"So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9

Kris has challenges us to make a Harvest card or Fall/Autumn

I have chosen to use the autumn palette, the softer shades of browns and greens with a gentle touch of pink peeking through.

I have used an image from Crafty Secrets, along with the Spellbinders Les Papillions Shapeabilities and the negative Die from the A2-Polka Dots Nestabilities® as my border (on the right hand edge of the card).  All Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.  The Want2Scrap bling is designed by the amazingly talented Nina of NinaB Designs.

This card is for the following challenges:
ATCs & Cards With Attitude - Anything Goes/buttons and bows
Crafty Ann'sSketch* and/or Autumnal colour scheme
Fun with Shapes & More - must include die cut/punch – include an Animal
Inspire Me FridaysAlways Anything Goes

Spellbinders Trip to Australia

As some of you will know, I have spent the last few days with Stacey Caron and Kim Hupke from Spellbinders Paper Arts at the DownUnder Direct Event for Retailers.

What a time we had - every state in Australia was represented

Grand Calibur's were out by the dozens - a very impressive sight

Even got to meet some crafting friends, Iwona Palamountain

and of course a little bit of excitement over my cards being published in this months issue of Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft Magazine...

There are a lot more photos to be shared, I am sure some will be shared over at Spellbinders - I just thought you would like a little Sneak Peek!!

The time went to fast - but there is so much planned for us here in the Southern Hemisphere - we love our Spellbinders - both product and people!!  Just quietly I am missing these ladies today...a little bit of withdrawal perhaps! LOL!  Thank you Stacey and Kim for such a wonderful time and a mind blowing opportunity - I still have to shake my head in amazement at where this crafting journey is taking me - an obsessed cardmaker in my 'little corner of the world!!'

Nostalgic Reindeer

Quick cards seem to be all I am creating lately, they certainly have their place and don't get much easier than when you are using Spellbinders Paper Arts Dies.

This card is for Card Design Class night. I needed something quick so I could be ready to run a Class the night after I get back from Melbourne with the Spellbinders Ladies.....it seems only fitting that I use Spellbinders Dies.

I have used the Spellbinders Frosty Forms Shapeabilities

and the Create a Flake Four Shapeabilities.  All of my dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

This card is for the following challenges:
Anything Goes Challenge - Early Christmas
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Papelitos Stamps - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Always Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown -You're A Gem -incorporate gems

FTTC186 Christmas Inspiration

I am back for the second week as the September Guest Designer for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, thank you so much to those of you who came and commented on my card - it is so appreciated!!

This weeks challenge is brought to us by Amanda who has challenged us to an inspiration challenge - a Christmas theme with a photo from Pinterest as our Inspiration.  I have chosen this photo:

and was a great inspiration with the Flourishes Poinsettia and Boxwood stamp set - it doesn't get more 'Christmas' than that!

The image is coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits, lots of layering of colour - so much fun I must admit - colouring is very relaxing, almost therapeutic!

The flower has been popped up onto foam tape to give that added dimension that I love, it is then layered onto the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Seven, followed by the Decorative Labels Twenty Seven, each layer having foam tape between it.  My Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur.

Seam Binding, a stocking charm and a remnant of braid finish off the card.

Please stop by the FTTC design team blogs for some wonderful inspiration, these girls are amazing...we would love to see you play along.
