LOC Faith Art Friday and Sneak Peek 3

Today is a special day for me as it is Faith Art Friday and this time I am giving you a Sneak Peek at not one but two of the New Releases from Layers of Color - the first one is Garden Wall Frame is one of their Spellbinders Coordinates - Labels 14!

I have coloured this with SU Chalks and layered it onto the second New Release Cling Art Stamp called Brick Wall - you have to love this stamp - I cannot wait to use it on a Layout - and have hundreds on thoughts going to my head - if only I could get them on paper as I think of them!  LOL!
The scripture is from a Stamp I was given from my dear stamping friend Sabrina (aks okimom2girlz)  Sabrina is also a dear sister in the faith and we are all encouraged by her art and her heart!!

Being still in today's world is such a foreign concept, everything happens at amazing speeds, it is all instant and we wait for nothing or no one! No wonder we find it hard to 'be still'!  So what does it mean - do we sit and do nothing, - surely not!  The words be still in this scripture comes from the Hebrew Word that means release, lift up and let go!

Being still for us is more than just sitting still, it is a matter of the mind and heart being still -  turning off the television, mobile/cell phones and anything thing else that might distract us, finding that place of 'solotude in our minds and hearts!

God's Word tells us so  clearly in Philippians

'And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.
Put into practice what you learned and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you.'
Philippians 4:7-9

When we have peace God is with us - when we are still, we can have that wonderful peace and the knowledge that God is with us!

Peace be with you!!

This is for the following challenges:

  1. Beautiful card and great word shared! In this day and age, we can't emphasize enough the need to "be still" and know that he is God. I need it and even crave that time. Thank you for the encouragement and beautiful faith-based creation!
